A Google Map pin will show the ralley point where we will meet at on Friday night at 6:00 PM and an a telephone call tree will be initiated by UT45 Shooters Club leadership team giving a two hour window to report to the Google map pin location
Ready event description very carefully. This is an overnight preparedness training event. Employing all the skills we work on as a group but rarely get to actually execute to this magnitude. Are you ready? Will your gear work? Are your plans sound?
This will help us all find out.
If you are a family leader, you must plan for the entire family also. This is what we will do on Friday night and Saturday. We will work on and practice:
- Large group rendezvous (initial)
- Large group rendezvous entry procedures (near and far challenge procedures)
- Convoy organization (convoy security - lead/recon vehicles, convoy body, convoy commander(s), checkpoints)
- Convoy communications (call-signs, freqs, primary and secondary communications)
- Convoy emergency contingencies (check points, ambushes, crowds, vehicle break downs, etc.)
- En route rally points
- Break down plans and procedures; paxs and gear cross loading plans
- Bug out location arrival (intermediate)
- Vehicle and personnel security perimeter
- Personnel/family accountability at intermediate location
- Preparing for foot movement
* We will move on foot with our family members approximately 1/2 mile after we get to the staging point
- Personal gear load out (only what you can carry, pull, drag or push)
- Movement to the 'Safe Zone'
- En route security (recon, main body, rear security)
- Safe zone group bivouac set up and security
- Family and group shelter set up; making camp
- Noise and light discipline
- All night security perimeter and sentries
The next day will be a family bug out preparedness training event
- Food preparation and choice in austere conditions and environments
- Field sanitation and hygiene
- Alternate shelter considerations and construction
- Building fires using traditional and alternate methods
- Edged weapons and tool sharpening
- Water purification and sanitation
- Traps and snares
- First-Aid & buddy aid
- Radio communications
- Signalling
- Compass, GPS and map; land navigation
- Knot tying and rope usage (rappelling, cordage use)
- Firearms orientation
Movement back to staged vehicles
