There will not be a regulary scheduled Tier-3 and Tier-2 UT45 member training event for February. North Springs Shooting Range 5245 S 8000 W, Price, UT 84501 (435) 650-7728 https://maps.app.goo.gl/6W7r6Q9TsuXGZWYq8 This will be a joint Field Training Exercise (FTX) between UT45 & the training group from Vernal. We will be working on Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and Military Operations In Urban Terrain (MOUT). This will be a full kit/gear training event. This will be tactical style training with another preparedness group.
Car pool encouraged. Let leadership know if you need a ride. Do not be late! We will train hard all day. Food, snacks, drinks will be needed by all participants. Lunch and dinner (Saturday) and breakfast, lunch (Sunday). Going back to town for food, water and supplies takes over an hour, round trip.
This is an overnight FTX. Bring your RV, tent, rack in your vehicle or run back into town to a motel room. Rooms in town run between $52.00 to $77.00 if you want to go that route. Blaine is bringing his big command tent with room for 10. We will have wood stove and kerosene heater in it too. Please watch the weather and forecasts. It can get very cold in Price this time of year.
Overnight gear a MUST if your staying in the field on (range). Good chance to test your bug out gear and field gear too.
Range fee per person to North Springs is $10.00 per day. Camping fee is $8.00 per person.

Recommended gear list: 1. Individual weapons - fighting rifle (AR) - pistol caliber Carbine (PCC) - sidearm 2. Minimum of three magazines - (3) for rifle - (2-3) for your sidearm 3. Rifle sling - two point - three point - single point * Shooters preference 4. Weapons cleaning kit/gear 5. Hearing protection 6. Eye protection - must be safety glasses (ballistic) * We will be shooting on steel targets. Full wrap/side protection highly recommended. 7. IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) 8. TQ (Tourniquet) - CAT - RATS - Recon * Mandatory safety item. This is verified at range safety brief. * Shooters preference 9. Knee pads * Highly recommended, not required. 10. Ability to carry rifle & pistol magazines on your person - chest rig - magazine pouches - drop pouch - war belt * Shooter preference, but you have to have something practical. You will not be carrying around magazines in coat pockets or pants pockets. 11. Sighting system for your rifle - fixed iron - red dot - flip up, back up sights - iron sights on rail system - FFP scope - SFP scope * Shooters preference. Do not show up without sights. 12. Gloves * Highly recommended but not required 13. Food and water - snacks 14. Notebook & pen/pencil - we will be giving instruction you will want to take notes on 15. A folding chair * Highly, highly recommended 16. Chapstick 17. A hat 18. Layers for changing weather conditions - beenie - soft shell jacket/coat/windbreaker - rain gear * Price weather can change minute by minute sometimes. Be prepared 19. Ammunition - rifle - pistol * 9mm only for shoot house. UT45 will bring as many 9mm rifles as possible to share 20. Good footwear * No open toed shoes or sandals 21. Outside the waist band pistol holster - belt loop mounted - molle clip mounted - other belt mounting system - drop leg * We don't allow cross draw, inside the waist band (IWB), deep concealment type holster or appendix carry holsters at our events. Shooters preference with above stated stipulations. 22. Good pants. We will be on the ground many times throughout the training day. - levis - hiking - tactical - military BDUs 23. Most importantly....a good attitude. Be trainable. 24. Other gear as needed. 25. Highly suggested for CQB runs - ballistic helmet - body armor
We need everyone that's going to go, at the range house at 9:00 a.m. prompt for sign in and waviers. Temperatures will be cold. Very cold. UT45 Leadership team will have the big command CP tent for overnighting. Room for ten operators with cots (bring your own cot & sleeping bag) We will have a wood stove and kerosene heater for inside.
